Karel Budiman—Sr. Manager (Indonesia)

Karel was graduated from the Law Faculty and began his career as an auditor then CSR assistant Manager in various multinational third-party audit firms such as Intertek, CSCC - STR, and Bureau Veritas. He continued working in Better Work Indonesia – a partnership program between the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Finance Corporation (IFC) for the garment sector as an Enterprise Advisor. He is a sustainability professional with more than 17 years of experience in the management of projects; audits and advisory; training and development the stakeholders (trade union, employer, government) in supporting major global brands to secure and maintain compliance throughout their dynamic supply chain. Karel has completed more than thousand social and security compliance audits for manufacturers producing soft goods, hard goods, food and beverages, etc for USA and European clients in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. He also holds certifications for WRAP and SA8000, and was an approved auditor for several international brands. As the Openview Service Ltd expands, now Karel joining Openview team and to cover Openview’s core services and operation in Indonesia, where he is assigned as Senior Manager for Indonesia country representative.
